What's in my makeup bag...

My makeup used to change almost daily pre-baby, however since having Em I have used the same makeup almost every single day. I never truly appreciated how much time I used to have to experiment with my makeup and try out so many different products but now, I have exactly 30 minutes to apply my makeup while Em has her morning nap, so I'm pretty limited as to what I can do. However I have recently gotten a few new makeup items so I have switched up my makeup routine ever so slightly with a few old faithfuls still in there, so I thought it was time for a 'what's in my makeup bag' post.

I'm not sure that I've ever actually written a what's in my makeup bag post because I've never really needed to use a makeup bag, my makeup is in drawers and I used to just pull out whatever I fancied applying that day, however with my limited time frame I now like to keep my staples in a makeup bag like this gorgeous Alphabet makeup bag from Matalan, so that as soon as Em is down for her nap, I have everything to hand to do my makeup as quickly as possible.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Translucent £3.99 Boots

The Rimmel Stay Matte Powder isn't a new product to me, however I have only recently started using it again. I just cannot seem to find a setting powder that I love at the moment, there are so many powders out there but most are over priced for what they are and Rimmel Stay Matte is far better than a lot of it's competitors. What I love about this powder is that it feels light on the skin, keeps your face shine free, helps to prolong the staying power of your foundation and is such a great price, a great staple for every makeup bag!

Nars Orgasm Blush £23 Feelunique

This is my first Nars blusher and it definitely won't be my last, i chose the colour Orgasm as it seems to be a favourite among beauty bloggers and I am so glad I chose this one. Orgasm is such a gorgeous peachy pink with a gold shimmer, I think this blusher is perfect for day or night and I love how pigmented this is. I also love that it's super blendable, buildable and it lasts all day, it's definitely worth the splurge!

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette £23 Feelunique

You just cannot beat an Urban Decay Palette! I love that the neutral colours in this palette are perfect for everyday but the addition of Crave (black) allows you to go for a more dramatic look when needed. The colours are really pigmented but I still like to use the Urban Decay Primer Potion underneath to make the colours stand out and I love that the palette is a travel friendly size.

Mac Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle £24 Mac Cosmetics

Mac Soft and Gentle is just the most amazing highlighter I have ever come across and I'm not sure anything could beat it for me. This champagne beige highlight has such amazing pigmentation but without being overpowering. I do use this as an everyday highlighter as I find it brightens up my face and gives me the glow I need after a lack of sleep, however it is buildable and can be used wet for a more dramatic evening look.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate Brown £15 Cult Beauty

Who doesn't love this product?! I've been using the Dipbrow pomade for a couple of years now and it's a product that I always repurchase. I do switch between this and a brow powder as this takes a lot more concentration and some days I need to use a powder for a quicker application. I do however use the Dipbrow pomade when I know I have the time because when I use this, I just feel like my makeup looks so much better. With this I feel I get a more polished look and I actually love my brows!

L'oreal Paris Super Liner £6.49 Feelunique

This has been my go to liner for so long now, I just find the applicator so easy to use and when I'm in a rush, I need it as easy as I can get! The product itself isnt too shabby either, I love how black the liner looks (seriously, some liners just aren't black enough) and it lasts pretty well too, it's withstood plenty of tears, just don't go giving your eyes a good rub, it's not water/rubproof!

MAC Ellie Goulding lipstick in Only You £17 Mac Cosmetics

Oh how I love my mac lipsticks, I just can't got enough of that vanilla scent! I always love a good collaboration but I'm never usually quick enough with the keyboard to get anything! The Mac Ellie Goulding collab though somehow seems to have stuck around for a while, though I have no idea why as I purchased two items from the range and am completely smitten with both. Only you is such a gorgeous coral pink and it's quite a pale lipstick so it's perfect for everyday.

Have you used any of these products? What do you think to them?
