Pregnancy Post | 36 Week Pregnancy Update...

36 Week Pregnancy Update, Pregnancy Update,

Today I am 36 weeks + 2 days pregnant and this week we got the final bits that baby girl needed, so we are prepared and ready when she is!

How far along? 36 weeks

Gender? Girl

Labour signs? The Braxton Hicks have been really frequent this week and wow do they get me! They're not painful or anything, they just get quite tight and it catches my breath each time. The period like cramps are becoming a lot more frequent too, I get them a lot with the braxton contractions, so that can be a whole lot of uncomfortable and I cannot stop peeing, tmi, sorry!

Belly button in or out? Still close to being out but currently still in, depends on baby girl's position.

Stretch marks? No changes from last week, Luckily I'm still doing well with no stretch marks on my belly, just a few under my breasts and then some on my hips and thighs from a previous weight gain.

Any cravings this week? Still no cravings, in fact, I've not been as hungry this week either which is pretty good as I've been eating far better and not snacking half as much.

Symptoms: My pelvis is still quite painful but luckily it seemed to ease more towards the end of the week and I still have gigantic feet and hands thanks to swelling, but I've gotten pretty used to it now.
New symptoms - Acid reflux has been pretty prominent this week, luckily my mum recommended calcium carbonate tablets which seem to be helping. I also seem to have very little energy and feel so out of breath all the time. I've been quite irritable too, I can be just slowly browsing around a supermarket for 5 mins and all of sudden I just get frustrated and want to go because I can't be doing with people bumping into me, not being able to find stuff and walking back and forth.

Movement: Baby girl has been so up and down this week, she's been pretty quiet most days and it'll take me ages to get her to move, then just as I go to ring the hospital she'll start being really active like nothing is wrong. She has done this right from the start though, she will have a couple of weeks being really active and then she'll have a quiet week like she's worn herself out, she's never completely stuck to a pattern so I just have to trust my instinct with her otherwise I would always be at the hospital. Luckily over the past few days she's been pretty good so fingers crossed that was her last quiet period before she arrives.

Sleep: This week I have lost all knowledge of what sleep is! I cannot get to sleep easily and I struggle to stay asleep! I have been waking every hour in the night to pee and I am often laid awake around 3/4am reading my kindle just to try and tire my eyes for another hour, this happens even when I've not gone to sleep until 2am. Hopefully though, this is all preparing me for the many years of sleepless nights to come.

Missions?  This week I have been so busy! I have been and bought the last of baby girl's things that she needed, like a room/bath thermometer, grooming kit, changing mat, parasol, grobag etc. Although the hospital bags were packed, they still needed the odd thing putting in too, like drinks and snacks so I made sure that they are all ready to go. We also packed Dan a little bag after the midwife recommended it, just in case we end up in there overnight. I then decided to have a big clearout and re-organisation in quite a few rooms. I have thrown away a lot of old pj's, underwear and clothes, re-organised all the drawers in my bedroom, I organised all my beauty products in the bathroom, re-organised baby girl's room and cleared out some space in the kitchen for bottles etc, so I'm guessing this is me nesting?!

This week I am greatful for: Baby girl picking up with her movements, I hate her going quiet on me so it really picks me up when she's active and makes me so happy!

Looking forward to: Our baby girl's arrival, I say this most week's but I am so so ready to meet her now! This pregnancy has flown by so fast but the past few weeks have dragged, I guess it's because I no longer have any plans, as I can't do much anymore and I just hope she isn't a lazy baby and goes over her due date, I'm not sure I could handle it!

This week has been so surreal! I cannot believe that sometime in the next month or so we will have a little baby girl of our own! we are both so excited to meet her, to see her little chubby cheeks and start the first day of the rest of our lives together as a family!

I hope you enjoyed reading this weeks update and if you too are writing bump updates, please leave your link in the comment below, I would love to read them!
