Illamasqua Multi Facet Palette | Aura...

I adore makeup palettes, anything that makes my makeup quicker and easier just lately is a must have for me and this one will be perfect for when baby arrives. The thing is, I'm more likely to use a palette than multiple individual products as they're all in one place and are easily accessible which is perfect for everyday makeup and those times when i don't have the time to experiment.

L-R : Thunder Brow Cake, Hollow Cream Pigment, Tremble Powder Blush, Aurora Gleam Highlighter

Illamasqua Multi Facet Palette in Aura Was £45 Now £13.50 - Hurry the Sale Ends 2nd Feb 12pm GMT

The latest Illamasqua Palette is a 'makeup bag in a compact' kind of palette, perfect for travelling, with almost everything you need, all in one case; just add foundation, concealer and mascara and your ready to go! Featuring eight of Illamasqua's amazing products, 1 blush, 1 highlighter, 1 cream pigment, 1 brow cake and four eyeshadows, complete with mirror and a double ended brush, what's not to love?! So when I spotted this little beauty in the Illamasqua Sale recently, I couldn't contain myself, at half price with free delivery (it was £22.50 when I purchased it,) I couldn't have entered my card details any quicker!

With a sleek black plastic casing, this palette not only looks gorgeous but easy to clean, I love the simplicity and compactness of this palette and unlike a lot of palettes, this one has a great sized mirror which fills the whole of the lid, allowing you to do your makeup with ease whilst travelling, who doesn't like to touch up in the car/train/plane?

I was super excited to see that this palette contained Illamasqua's best selling brow cake in Thunder! I'm a little bit obsessed with brows and I love trying new brow products, I already have their brow gel in Strike, which I adore so I had high hopes for this one too! Brow cake is a brow powder that can be used dry or wet for different effects, applied dry, using light strokes can give a more subtle effect, perfect for everyday. I usually choose to apply this wet, which can be done with both Illamasqua's sealing gel or water, which I opt for, to create a stronger, more defined brow. I love how easy this product is to use and how versatile it is but what I love most is the lasting power, this doesn't budge until I remove it! I am seriously impressed!

Everybody seems to love cream products, be it a blusher, highlighter or even a contour, however I am still trying my best to get to grips with them, so I was surprised how easy I found the gleam highlighter to use, I apply this pink toned champagne cream highlighter with my fingers to the top of my cheekbones and above my cupids bow when contouring to lift these areas.

Illamasqua's cream pigments are multi-purpose products, designed for use on the face, eyes, lips and body. Hollow is described as a 'toffee' colour and is perfect for contouring. As i said in the above paragraph, I am still trying to get used to cream products and have yet to work out how to use this one as a contour, but I've heard people get some amazing results from it.

I have always wanted to try one of Illamasqua's blushers as I have heard so many raving reviews, so I was excited to see Tremble in this palette. I have to admit, I was unsure whether or not the colour would suit me, as Tremble is quite a pale, lilac toned pink and I worried it would be too pale to show up, luckily, the pigmentation of this blusher is amazing and I needn't have worried as this is the perfect everyday blusher. Highly pigmented, easy to blend and suitable for most, if not all skin tones, I can honestly say I am in love with this blusher already!

Described as a 'rich charcoal black with glitter' this eyeshadow is perfect for lining your lash line when you want more of a subtle look. I personally don't tend to wear black eyeshadows but I like that I have this one to experiment with.

I think 'warm pink chocolate' describes this eyeshadow perfectly, I love the warmth to this colour and have been using it regularly to contour the crease of my eye. I'm was so dissapointed to see that this colour has been discontinued as it's the one colour in the palette I would have definitely repurchased!

This 'pale egg shell' eyeshadow has to be the only product that i wasn't struck on, it is a tad too on the yellow side for me and does nothing for my complexion, though as with all the eyeshadows in this palette, the pigment and longevity of this is great. There is nothing wrong with the product but I wouldn't personally repurchase it as i's just not right for me.

The other eyeshadow I love but is also discontinued, seriously Illamasqua?! Described as a 'soft yellow cream' I wouldn't personally say that their is any yellow tones to Vision, it's more of a grey toned white to me. This eyeshadow is perfect for using as a base under other eyeshadows to make the colour pop out and is great for highlighting the brow bone and inner corners. Again, I would have repurchased this product had it not been discontinued!

I chose Aura as I love the soft colours this palette contains, all of the products have amazing pigmentation and lasting power and I would have to say that the Brow Cake in Thunder is my favourite product in the palette. I'm so glad I purchased this and have already used it most days, at just £13.50 in the sale, you would definitely not regret buying this!

Have you bought anything in the Illamasqua sale?
