L'oreal Paris Mini Haul and Review...

L'oreal Paris True Match Foundation £9.99 | L'oreal Paris True Match Powder £18.19 | L'oreal Paris Color Riche Exclusive Reds £6.99

When I popped into Boots for a face powder the other day, the last edges of my Maybelline Matte Maker had finally crumbled, I didn't quite get what I went in for, you know the drill, we all do it, that little 3 for 2 offer caught my eye and before I knew it my basket was full. Now L'oreal can seriously do no wrong in my eyes, I don't think I have ever bought a product from them that I didn't like, so when I realised that Boots didn't have any of my favourite powders in my colour, I decided to try one from the L'oreal True Match range and of course it wouldn't have been worth trying out if I didn't try out the famous True Match foundation from them too, then before I knew it a lipstick in Blake's red just fell in alongside them, among a basket full of other products too!

True Match Foundation

Although I love my Estee Lauder Doublewear foundation, I don't like to wear it on a daily basis because not only is it an expensive foundation to keep replacing but it's also quite a thick foundation, which doesn't suit my skin when used on a constant basis. I prefer a lighter foundation for everyday and I have been loving using the True Match foundation. What surprises me the most about this foundation is that it provides a fair amount of coverage to say how lightweight the formula is, I would say that the coverage is medium but buildable and leaves you with a dewy finish. The lasting power is quite average, giving a good 5-6 hours of good coverage before it starts to fade.

True Match Powder

I'm not a dewy foundation kind of girl, I always prefer to powder over the top of my base to give a more matte finish. As I mentioned before, I bought this powder as Boots didn't have the others I went in for in my colour, but I was more than happy to try it out as it had been on my list for a while already. I like that this powder doesn't add too much colour to your face, I went for the same colour that I had matched myself to in the foundation, however I think I could have gone a colour or two lighter, I keep forgetting we're in Autumn already! This powder sets nicely without settling into any fine lines or creases and it really helps to keep my foundation on for that little bit longer!

Color Riche Exclusive Red in Blake's Red

Before I went blonde I could never wear red lipstick, I'm not sure why, maybe it was a confidence thing, but I just couldn't bring myself to wear it in public. Then when I went blonde, I fell in love with red lips and I haven't looked back since. I have to admit, I didn't need another red lipstick, I have so many already but I love the Color Riche exclusive lipsticks and they just looked too good to miss out on! Blake's red is a gorgeous red with a slight berry tone to it and I was seriously impressed with the staying power! I wore this to Frankie and Benny's last weekend and both Danny and his mum asked if I had used some sort of sealer because a pizza and a glass of wine later, the lipstick was still perfectly in place!

Have you bought anything from L'oreal lately?

Love
