H&M Christmas Wishlist/Gift Guide For Her Under £30

With Christmas fast approaching, I've spent the past week frantically scouring the internet for gift guides and wish lists ready for payday. However I just wasn't feeling it and I couldn't find a great deal that I liked on any website, until last night when I found my way towards the H&M website, good old H&M, where I simply could not stop myself from screen capturing just about every item they have in stock, so that I could Whatsapp Dan my Christmas wishlist, yep, that's right, I got him to download it specially for this purpose! I know, clever right? So whilst Dan was on nights, his phone pinging every two minutes as I compiled my Whatsapp Christmas wishlist, I thought that I would start and put together a list to share with you guys in the hopes that it will give any of you that little bit of inspiration, if you need that little nudge...

I hope you enjoyed this post, and I hope it doesn't make you spend too many pennies :) What's on your wishlist this year?

Weekend Wonders #2

Warning: I would strongly advise that you prepare a hot drink beforehand,
because this is going to be a long one...

Hi guys, hope you all had a fantastic weekend and are all enjoying your fresh start this Monday!

This weekend was a little different for me because I actually had Saturday off, which was pretty amazing because I graduated too! I was a little nervous at first, as I didn't have a clue what to expect, so I thought I would share my experience for anyone who has a graduation coming up and feels the same.

I have studied for a foundation degree in International Spa Management for the past two years at West Nottinghamshire College in connection with University of Derby and I graduated at Kelham Hall on Saturday which is just the most beautiful place I have ever seen! Unfortunately I was too busy to take pictures, and left the camera's in the hands of my mum and Dan, which meant that we don't have any pictures of the building or gardens, just me :)

The day wasn't what I expected at all, to be honest I don't know exactly what I was expecting...When we first arrived I had to leave Dan and my mum while I went to get my cap and gown, my cap was far too big and the man went through 5 different sizes because apparently my heads small :/ I then had to go through to have my photo taken, and then photographer made me smile with my teeth! I hate my teeth! So no doubt that's the photo I'll get... I then went to find my mum and Dan, my mum had to pin my gown for me, luckily I remembered my pins! We then went to mingle with the rest of my group and it was amazing to see everyone again, as we haven't seen each other since we left in May so it's been a while, we all caught up on life and before we knew it, it was time to go in.

All family and friends went in first, whilst all graduates were made to line up in order of stage appearance and were given the itinerary, this made me feel like I was back in school and ready to go on stage for a play. We all filed in, sat down and listened to the principles speech, which went on for a good while, we then listened to a musical interlude by a former student and then got ready to go on stage, where we received our certificates. I managed not to fall on stage! Yay! Go me!

After watching everyone collect their certificates, we listened to a speech by Lord Bilimoria who is the founder and chairman of Cobra beers, he gave an amazing and inspirational speech and I have since googled everything about him! Stalker? me? Nah! All of the teachers, the principle and Lord Bilimoria then stood in two lines, facing each other and they applauded us as we walked through the middle, which made me feel pretty special and was a great end to the ceremony. This sounds pretty short, but the speeches were long, and there were lots of certificates to give out, I think the whole thing lasts 1 hour 30 mins. Afterwards we headed out into the gardens to get a few more pictures and then we headed off home.

When we arrived at my mums, my mum made us lunch and then my mama came round, my mum and dad then gave me a card and a new Pandora charm with a graduate cap on, I thought this was so sweet and I couldn't be more grateful for what my mum and dad do for me! Me and Dan soon headed home and decided to spend a quiet night in front of the TV with a Pizza Hut and cookie dough.

Sunday I was a little teary as Dan started his nights shifts in his new job, I spent all day crying whilst he slept and then cried during the few hours I spent with him before he went to work, I have no idea why I cried?! I think I was just a little overwhelmed by the whole weekend. However I had a lovely evening in the end, I pulled myself together, and decided to spend a couple of hours away from all social media, and even my phone, whilst I watched Safe Haven on DVD; Whenever I watch films or TV I'm constantly on my phone and/or laptop for the whole duration and never really get into it, so this time I banned them, which I think did me good as I got stuck in to the film and just forgot about everything else for a little while, which I think we all need to do at times to keep sane.

Well that's my weekend gone, what did you get up to on your weekend?

An Affordable Alternative

These two foundations have taken a front seat in my makeup bag recently with me switching between the two, but one thing I have come to notice is that they are freakishly similar, in many ways. Could Revlon Colorstay in 220 Natural Beige be the Clinique Superbalanced in 02 Fair dupe?

Although the colour is not identical, it is probably as close as you would get between two different brands. Both foundations are quite thick in consistency and silky in texture, they apply smoothly and smell almost identical. They are both liquid foundations, however when dry leave a powdery feel to the skin and they both leave a matte finish.

Both seem to last a while, as a little goes a long way with each and they both have fairly good staying power, however I think that the Revlon one actually stays a little longer than the Clinique. Both are buildable, but yet again I think the Revlon foundation has the upper hand here with a touch better coverage overall. Clinique Superbalanced covers all most areas with one foundation that is for dry combination to oily combination skin, whereas Revlon Colorstay has two different foundations, one for combination/oily skin and one for normal/dry skin.

The are a couple of downsides to both of these foundations, firstly the smell, although it isn't unpleasant, it isn't the best scent for a facial product either. Also neither of these foundations have pumps, which I usually prefer, however these are just minor problems and wouldn't stop me purchasing either.

Overall I think these are pretty similar, and if both were given to me on a palette, I don't think that I would actually be able to tell the difference. However I do think that Revlon Colorstay is definitely a great dupe and also has a more appealing price at just £12.49 compared to Cliniques Superbalanced at nearly double the price at £22.

Have you tried these foundations? What did you think?

Primark Haul

So whilst I should be buying Christmas presents, last week, I was out buying presents for me, which seems to be a typical dilemma for me at this time of year! isn't it for everyone? However these are only Primark purchases, hence the title, so nothing too naughty, that makes it ok right?!

Soft Blazer - Pink - £7 - Sale

I love to wear blazers at this time of year, especially when I'm going out and need to keep warm but a coat is a bit too bulky for the outfit and I loved this one as soon as I saw it! It's slightly cropped with three quarter sleeves, though this could just be me, because I'm tall and have long arms? with a soft cotton fabric and a pink silky lining, it's so comfy to wear and perks up a seemingly boring otherwise outfit too.

Support Vest -  Dark Grey - £2.50 and Love to Lounge Leggings - Grey - £5

I've been after some legging pajamas for ages but never really found a style I liked, but I really loved thee bottoms, as they're perfect to lounge in too. In my Primark there wasn't a top to go with these bottoms so i headed over to the underwear section where I found this support vest, which I think goes perfectly. These are the comfiest pajamas/loungewear I think I own and I've worn them pretty much everyday since I got them, I'm actually sad I had to put them in the wash and wear different Pj's tonight :(

3 Pack Scrunchies - Black - £1

I've been wearing more scrunchies lately as I think they leave less of a dent in your hair than regular bobbles and also they look pretty cute!

Cable Knit Gloves - Cream - £2

After insisting on walking the dog without any gloves everyday, resulting in frost bite and not being able to feel my fingers for an hour afterwards, I thought it was time I got some gloves. These cute cable knit ones just have two sections, one for your fingers and one for your thumb, as I'm sure you all know, which I just think are comfier for some reason, however it does mean that I can't use my phone when walking the dog, which I guess i don't really need to do anyway, but for £2 I'm pretty happy with these.

Gold Bar Necklace - £3

These necklaces are everywhere in so many colours and slightly different versions. I had to pick this one up  when I saw it as it's not only a great price but I think it will transform any outfit from day to night and would look pretty sweet, with a plain black midi dress and heels.

Wooden Hanging Heart - £1.50

Every time I go into Primark I see this and want it, but for some reason I never buy it, this time I decided to pick it up as I'm trying to save little bits and bobs for our 'bottom drawer' ready for when we move out and this a cute little touch to any wall or drawer.

Black Bag - £10

This has to be my favourite purchase, I mean, how amazing is this bag?! As soon as I saw it, I knew I was having it, no questions asked. I really don't think this looks like a Primark bag, and it doesn't have the little gold atmosphere badge on that they seem to be putting on bags lately, why do they do this? we want to pretend it's expensive, ok?! So if I saw this on someone else's arm I would never have guessed it was Primark! It doesn't have many pockets, just one zip inside at the back like most bags, but I don't really mind as it's still pretty drool worthy to me!

Have you been to Primark lately? What did you buy?

Winter Warmers and Weekend Wonders

Hiya Lovelies! I hope you've had an amazing weekend!

I thought it would be fun to start writing some general life updates and let you know what I get up to on my weekends, if I don't just spend it in bed that is!

I work on Saturdays, so my weekend is Sun-Mon, it's pretty pants having to work on a Saturday, but if I was at home, I'd just be made to watch football anyway, so at least I get out of that one :)

Today me and Dan decided to have a lie in, we woke up around 10am which is pretty good for us as were up at 6/6.30 most days and then we decided to go get some bits and bobs done whilst his mum and dad are on holiday. I wrapped up all snug with my favourite scarf on and actually managed to wear my hair down, which I don't get to do often as I work in a nail bar, so it was nice to feel a little more dressed up, even if I was wearing jeans.

We took a trip to Dunhelm Mill to get some black out curtains, as Dan has started a new job in which he has to work nights, boo :( so he was advised to buy some to help him sleep during the day, and they also help to insulate the room and keep any drafts out, keeping the room warmer for those winter nights. We spent forever looking at curtains, but couldn't find black out curtains, so eventually I asked someone who took us to the other end of the store where we were actually supposed to be looking, we were looking at curtains honestly. We finally settled on a black pair, Dan is adamant that we will have as much black in the bedroom as we can, whilst I'm always trying to bring white into the bedroom. £92 later and we had left with 1 pair of blackout blinds, which I haven't photographed as I didn't iron them, don't judge me :) a new bed cover, 2 pillow cases, which we had to buy separate, what's that all about? two pillows and a cushion.

We then headed over to Pets at Home to buy Archie a bone and a ball to keep him occupied for the afternoon, we always look at the dwarf hamsters first as there so bloomin cute, we thought about buying one, but were saving to move out, and were hardly home so we decided to be good and leave them. We've always said that we want a husky puppy when we get our own home, and we saw one whilst in Pets at Home, she was only 11 weeks old, and so damn cute, I think that's definitely settled the decision of which dog were going to have.

Next stop was Asda for food shopping, where we spent more than we needed and didn't come back with a great deal, anyone else do this? We did however treat our self's to Ellie Goulding and Eminem's new albums, I bet you can't guess who's is who's. Then we came home, I put the curtains up and put the new bedding on, whilst Dan sorted other things out and then we gave Arch his new treats to keep him occupied, whilst I made my first ever Sunday dinner, shock, horror, and I actually managed not to burn anything! Go me! I was so hungry I forgot to photograph my masterpiece!

I also came up with a new creation, I've been making it all week but I think I've finally got it right this time, it's a healthy-er version of hot chocolate. As most of you probably know, I have IBS, which means I can't drink regular hot chocolate, *pulls a sad face* and being as though I have a ridiculously sweet tooth and the cold nights are upon us, this is quite hard for me, as I rely on warm drinks to keep me, well, warm. So I made it my mission to create my own version, or rather tweak my mum's version to suit my taste. I'll put the ingredients below for anyone that's interested.

Ingredients:
1 mug full of hazelnut milk warmed in the microwave for around 1 minute (or as desired)
1 heaped teaspoon of Cacao powder
1 teaspoon of honey
1 teaspoon of maple syrup
1 cap full of vanilla essence
a sprinkle of cinnamon
a handful of marshmellows

Now I'm snuggled up on my bed, blogging, drinking my hot chocolate and listening to Elle goulding, so cosy! How was your weekend? What did you get up to?

'Get to know me' Tag and My Blog's First Birthday

Wow, I seriously cannot believe that today is A Beautiful Delight's first birthday!

It all started as a little hobby last year, after spending my summer off from uni watching the youtube videos of Tanya Burr and Zoella and venturing into reading their blogs too. I already had an unhealthy shopping and beauty hoarding addiction, and I thought why not turn this into something positive? So I did, and ABeautifulAddiction21, as this blog was originally named, was born!

I really do love blogging, and although I don't make enough time to do it, and I often get writers block, so frustrating! I'm really proud of how far I've come! I didn't think I would ever have a single person read my blog, let alone follow it, and although I do it because I enjoy it, and not for the followers, I really appreicate that others want to read what I write, so thankyou so much to those of you who do!

I thought I would do the 'get to know me tag' for those of you who have just started following me, or those of you who would just like to know a little more about me, I found it on Hannah Maggs blog, she's my current favourite beauty blogger and vlogger, if you haven't checked her out yet, go check her out at www.alittlebeautyspot.blogspot.co.uk, trust me, you'll love her!

Enjoy...

Are you named after anyone?

No, but my name was supposed to be Chelsea, until my dad's friend told him he couldn't call me after a football team, which is a shame because I quite like it.

When was the last time you cried?

I seriously cannot remember, it'll come to me later I'm sure, I usually cry all the time, over anything and everything, but I've become a little tougher lately and am learning to take things a little easier so I've not cried too much.

Do you have children?

No, but I am becoming so broody lately, I would have one now, if the situation was right, but I want to find a career I'm comfortable in and buy a house first, as we still live at home.

If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?

I would like to think that I'm a good friend, I think i'm a good listener, I'm loyal, I will drop what I'm doing if a friend really needs me and although I don't really go out, due to health issues, so I'm not too much fun, I will happily enjoy a glass of wine and have a good natter any night of the week, providing it's at home. So yes, I think I would :)

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

I use sarcasm, but not a great deal, I used to as a teenager, but I guess all teenagers do.

What's your favourite cereal?

I don't actually eat cereal anymore as most of them make me ill, I eat gluten, wheat and dairy free muesli with greek yoghurt and maple syrup every morning, does that count?

What's the first thing you notice about people?

wow, this is tough, I'd probably say appearance, if it's just someone I pass in the street. However if it's someone I meet, I'd say their voice, the way they sound and how they speak, it facinates me, is that wierd?

What's your eye colour?

Dark brown, I actually get a lot of compliments on my eyes, but I wish they were blue, I love blue eyes!

Scary movies or happy endings?

Happy endings without a doubt! If I watch a scary movie I'll have nightmares for weeks!

Favourite smells?

I love floral scents, at the moment, my favourite is The Body Shops White Musk Smokey Rose perfume, it's amazing and lasts all day!

Summer or Winter?

Winter because I love comfort, hot chocolate, warm dinners, socks, dressing gowns, coats, throws and candles = perfection.

Computer or television?

Computer, I've grown up listening to music rather than watching TV and my dad's a computer whizz so naturally I'm a computer geek, to a certain extent. At night dan will watch TV whilst I blog, which we are doing right now :)

What's the furthest you've been away from home?

I went to america when I was 6 with my mum and two of my aunties, my mum has three sisters and one lives in America, we went over to surprise her and be at her wedding, it was too expensive at the time so she didn't think we could make it. Although I was young I still remember the look on her face when she saw us, it's an amazing memory to keep.

Do you have any special talents?

I can talk super fast without taking a breath, when me and my mum or aunties get talking nobody can understand us, other than us, and the lads usually have to leave the room because they can't handle it :)

Where were you born?

I was born in a little town called Mansfield in the East Midlands, I'm currently still here, but I really want to move to London, it's just a case of twisting Dan's arm.

What are your hobbies?

Shopping, hoarding, blogging, reading and I do yoga once a week. I also love running but am a little too lazy, I need to get back into it, because I feel so much better when I do.

Favourite Movies?

Pretty much most Rom-coms but P.S I Love you is probably my all time favourite, I've watched it countless times.

I hope you enjoyed this tag, I thought it would be fun to do, I know I love reading tags like these.

Have you done any tags recently?

What could I do to improve my blog?

Hydration is key

With the weather turning bitter and the constant need for heat upon us, it becomes more important to keep hydrated, especially when it comes to your scalp and skin! And what better way to start than in the shower or bath?

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo 400ml - £3.89 Boots / Conditioner - £3.89 Boots / Intensive Mask £4.19 Tesco

At this time of year my hair takes longer to dry and it just becomes more of a burden to leave it to air dry as it takes forever. Thus meaning that I use more heat on my hair, resulting in it drying out, especially because it's bleached, and my hair becomes more prone to split ends. However Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisture & Shine shampoo, conditioner and Deep Nourishing Intensive Mask really help my hair to become more soft, shiny and manageable, it's that good that I have to hide it from Dan.They all contain hawaian coconut extract, which smells pretty amazing, to help nourish the hair and are best suited to dry/damaged hair. I use the Intensive Mask once a week on pamper night, I shampoo my hair first and rinse thoroughly, I then lather this from root to tip and brush through with my tangle teezer. Although it suggests to leave on for five minutes, I wrap my hair in a towel and leave for around 30 mins while I soak in the bath, I then thoroughly rinse this from my hair and brush through again with my tangle teezer and blowdry. This leaves my hair silky smooth and so much more manageable, with an amazing shine, I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Wilkinson Sword for Women Hydro Silk Razor - £9.99 Boots and Blades 3's £8.49 Boots

Next up is my Razor, I know some people probably won't care about this part, which is perfectly fine, just skip to the next section. But lets face it, we all have to do a bit of de-fuzzing, and although it probably doesn't need doing as much at this time of year, yes I get lazy with this step,we live in leggings and jeans, why not? but when it comes to those christmas parties, the razor has to come out! Now I'm not one to stick to razors, I generally just buy them on offer when I decide that I need a new one, and this razor was no different, I bought it at boots as the razor was something daft like half price but I actually really like it. The white circles at the top and bottom of the head contain water-activated moisturising serum which are infused with marine extracts and claim to hydrate the skin for up to 2 hour after shaving. The 5 blades have skin guards to protect the skin from irritation and the razor is dermatologist tested. Now the facts are the way, time for my views... my skin is super sensitive ans the wrong products cause irritation to my skin, especially with razors, a few hours later my legs will itch so bad that I scratch them till I bleed, meaning that shaving my legs before a night out leaves me with legs that look like a cat attacked me, not attractive, not to mention it brings me out in a rash until my hair grows back, though this doesn't take long when you have pcos. However this razor is amazing for my skin, no itching, no rash, and my legs are super soft after shaving, like the kind of soft, where you just sit stroking your legs all night, just me, huh? So I would say I pretty much love this razor and may just decide to faithful with this one and stick with it, if you have skin problems too, I would definitley recommend checking this out.

Super Facialist by Una Brennan Rose Hydrate Intense Moisture Mask - £8.99 Boots

Now for the face, I'm sure all have you have heard of the Super facialist range by Una Brennan at boots, who hasn't?! The range contains so many new beauty blog favourites, designed to make you feel like you've had an expert facial after each use and best of all its affordable too! This is my first buy from the range and must say I'm already impressed, I can't wait to buy more from the range, especially when they have 1/3 off of selected super facialist products right now at boots making this beauty just £5.99. This mask contains white willow and marshmallow extracts, vitamin E and urea to hydrate, plump and replenish skin, whilst calming the complexion and giving healthier looking skin. I apply this once a week, again on pamper night, after cleansing and exfoliating the skin, just like the hair mask it suggests to keep on for 5 mins, however I apply this after my hair mask and allow both to penetrate deeply for 30 mins whilst I soak in the bath and read a magazine. This mask leaves my skin so so smooth, and my complexion looking healthy and glowing, and it's suitable for sensitive skin, Perfect!

How do you keep up your hydration during the cold months?

L'oreal Lovelies

I've been loving L'oreal Paris at the moment, they really seem to have there game on! What with their latest makeup collections, (Privee, Magique and Super Liner,) their latest haircare range (hair expertise) and their latest skincare range (skin perfection,) I'd say they're pretty much on fire! They're products work so well, their packaging is outstanding and they're constantly keeping us intrigued with their latest buys! Can you tell I'm hooked?!

Loreal Paris Lumi Magique Pearl Powder £8.99 - Boots

Honestly, I picked up this powder on a whim, because I needed a third item for my three for two offer, I wash in a rush and it looked pretty. I haven't heard anything about this product before, so I assume that it's new, but I haven't seen any hype around it either, if it is. This product uses 'light-infused pearl powder technology' and contains a highlighter plus two foundations which aims to create light and definition to the face.So far I have been loving this product, I have been using this as an all over setting powder, when my skin is a little lack lustre or as a highlighter when I contour.

L'oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Privee in Barely Griege by Cheryl £8.19 - Boots

I absolutely adore these lipsticks, they're very similar to the 'made for me' range that they did previously, in that there are different shades to suit different skin tones and hair colours. I purchased this one after buying and loving the shade 'Barely Pink,' but I wanted a slightly darker shade and this one is perfect for me. These lipsticks smell amazing and look amazing but I have to admit the staying power isn't as great as I would like, after a few hours and a few drinks it's usually gone, that being said, I am still totally in love with them and honestly enjoy reapplying them throughout the day. These are limited edition, and I would definitely recommend getting your hands on them while you can!

L'oreal Paris Super Liner Gel Intenza Golden Black in Pure Black - £9.99 - Superdrug

This is without a doubt the best eyeliner that I have come across, big statement, but I actually think it could be! First of all, I love the packaging, it looks so much more high end. This is the easiest eyeliner I have come across to apply, especially with the gorgeous precision brush that it comes with, and it makes flicks super easy too! And best of all, it really does last all day! The full 24 hours that it states? I'm not entirely sure, as I never wear makeup that long, who does? But I apply this around 6.30am before work and remove it at around 9pm before I go to bed and it still looks like I just applied it, so a full working day? definitley! What more could you want?!

Have you tried any of these products before? What do you think to them?
